A Few Cards from this Week!

A few more cards that I made the last week.

How Many Times Can I come Back?

I’ve had a lot of false starts coming back since 2010!  I lost interest after my dad passed away that year.  Three years later I retired from work.  My husband and I have been enjoying doing what we want, when we want!
We live on a farm so we have a huge yard to maintain in the summer, which I love!  Winter , which I hate, I hibernate indoors doing my walking on my treadmill! Lol!
I’ve gotten interested once again in making cards.  I’ve bought some new clear stamps!  I think my favorites are Lawn Fawn and Tim Holtz!
Anyway I’m going to try and post on a regular basis........for this post I’m posting a card using Tim Holtz

Finally.......I think I'm back!

It's been a year since my last post!  I'm really hoping that I'm back for good now!
It all began 5 years ago.  My Dad passed away from Pancreatic Cancer in 2010.  From that point till now I just could not get in to making my cards!  I used to be in my craft room daily trying new ideas and loving every minute, but that all came to an end when dad passed away.  I have done card orders when asked but the passion just wasn't there.
Then a couple days ago  two of my friends called with card orders.  I went into my room to start them and something happened.....I felt a bit of excitement!  I got both orders finished and now I'm starting my Christmas cards!!
Here are some of the cards I've made over the last two days

Here is my first Christmas card....there are many more to go! Lol!

This is a wedding card that one of my friends asked me to make.

This card makes me think of my cousins who also like their wine!

My New Craft!

I'd like to show you a new craft I have started.
I had never heard of Zentangle till my cousin Marj posted a picture she had done on Facebook.  I asked her more about it and decided I had to give it a go!  It is fun to do and it's claim that is is relaxing is very true!
I have a ways to go before I can frame any so practice, practice, practice! LOL!

Have a great day and stay warm!

Wedding Card Box

Here is another card box I made today for a Wedding.  Now if I had to mail this card I would make a shallow card box to accommodate the thickness of the flowers and pearls.  You can get instructions to do this on Pinterest.  Just search Stampin Up envelope maker.

My First Box Card

Well it has been awhile since my last post!

I looked back and it has been since Christmas!  What the heck!!  Its not like I haven’t been making cards!  I have done several orders for Sympathy cards and Wedding cards…… but nothing new and exciting.

We went to Mexico for a family holiday with my daughter, son-in-law and the grandkids at the end of January.  We had such a good time!  Loved the heat, the people and the food!  Hated to come home to the freezing cold temps!!

Then we have had the last couple weeks of the 2014 Olympics!  It was great watching all the events and watching the Canadians do so well!!  I’m VERY proud!!

Anyway here is my first box card.  All supplies used is from Stampin Up.

These are not that hard to make!  They fold flat for mailing, just raise the flaps and push to one side.

A Kcup Christmas

Today I found this Kcup holder on Pinterest.  I just had to give it a try.  I printed off the template and found it was too small for the size punch I needed to use so I reprinted the template and changed the setting to "fit to page". It turned out perfect!
Here it is.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!

Duct Tape Flowers??

That’s right!  Duct tape flowers!

My grand daughter Avery is staying with us till school goes back in and like all the young girls she is going crazy making duct tape wallets, headbands and bracelets.  I too a look and thought why not flowers for cards?

So all i did was put the tape on some card stock and then used some CB flower dies and voila…..

I love how shinny they are!

I made a Sympathy card and Thinking of you card using my flowers.

Productive Day!

Hey everyone!

Wasn’t feeling well today so didn’t do any yard work.  Instead I stayed indoors and worked on a couple cards and a card set.

First up is a very simple card.

Next up is a card I made using a Tim Holtz die set.  I did the grunge look on this one.

The last item is a card box with 12 all occasion cards.  It is the same box pattern as my previous post.

Boxed card Set

Hi Everyone!

Today I made a boxed card set for a dear friend of mine who’s birthday is coming up next week.  Her favourite color is navy so this is what I used.  The set of cards are good for any occasion.

The box pattern is very easy to make and came from Pinterest.  you can find the pattern here.

I filled the box with a set of 6 cards but it could hold more if you wanted.

Here it is-

My New Purchase!

I haven't bought any new card supplies in quite awhile now so when I found this 5 pc. Flower die by Spellbinders for only 7.99, it was mine!
Today I made a wedding card using only three layers.  It was very simple to make and I think it looks very elegant!

Thanks for looking!
Have a great weekend!

Cards Finally!

Well it has been awhile, yet again, since my last post!  I have been very busy here!

First working in the yard getting everything in shape for the summer.  Now that hubby and I are both retired we are enjoying working in the yard doing things that have been waiting for some time now!

Then mid June My brother and I did a 10 day cousins trip!  We drove out to the BC coast and worked our way back home visiting cousins along the way.  We put on 4055km and had a blast getting to know our cousins better.  We now feel like we still have family!  We never got to know our cousins because our Dad was in the Air Force and we travelled all over the place!

When we got back we had our 2 grandkids for 2 weeks and they sure kept us busy!!!

Now things are back to normal for awhile.  We had such a storm here today that the power was off for 4 hours so I figured it would be a great time to make a couple cards!  Here they are!
